Defeat for the Free Mickey Forces In a vote that was far more lopsided than many had predicted, the Supreme Court
affirmed dismissal of
Eldred v. Ashcroft, upholding the constitutionality of the Sony Bono Copyright Extension Act. The vote was 7-2, with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg authoring the opinion for the majority.
