Filed on behalf of several individual consumers, it alleges that the copy protection system used on certain EMI discs makes it impossible to play them on many car stereos, hi-fi's and personal computers.

The AP article omits to report, or just isn't aware, that equal lawsuits came to court last year. Consumers prevailed, though with little reward. (More info at this blog: http://constitutionalcode.blogspot.com/2004/08/peugeots-renaults-drm.html)
